This photo set of the NSWGR 53 Class Steam Locomotive (5333) taken by Mark Hardacre at Enfield (NSW) in November 1969.
Keep an eye out for CHALK MEASUREMENTS. This locomotive was photographed before it was to be scrapped. Mark has been inventive in that, instead of running a tape measure over the locomotive then writing down the measurements on paper, he used chalk to write the measurements "ON THE LOCOMOTIVE" and then photographed the results. Some of the photos are a little blury, as they were taken using a Kodak camera and have been scanned from B & W Negatives.
Looking forward to some more of Mark's work in the future. I wonder what other surprises he has in store.
