This photo set of Hotham Valley Railway (WA) C Class Diesel Electric Locomotive was taken by Stew Winston at Albany (WA) in September 2004.

The C Class loco first saw service in 1962 in WA, built by English Electric. Only three units were made, two of them are still operational they being C1702 & C1703.
The Hotham Valley Railway have all three locos, C1701 is a static display, C 1702 & 1703 are used by HVR to haul passenger coaches on various excursions.
