This photo set of Western Australian XV Class Hopper was taken by Stew Winston at Albany (WA) over the last few years.

XV Hopper
The XV hopper is one of the older steel hoppers used on the narrow gauge lines to carry grain. Like most of the grain carrying hoppers today they were fitted with a fibreglass top cover, which replaced the original hatches. The fitting of the top cover was done over a period of years and, from memory. The last batch was done in the mid 1990`s.
